NSA ABP sheepdog trial

See to the side of the page, the running order for the NSA Sheep NI Sheepdog Trial, sponsored by ABP.

We are excited to announce that this year we will host our first sheep dog trial at Sheep Northern Ireland event, taking place on Tuesday 1st July at 7.00am. 

The trial will have open, intermediate, and young handler classes (under 21 years of age on the 1st July 2025) these will be combined runs.

Prizes are as follows:

Open

• 1st - £250
• 2nd - £200
• 3rd - £150
• 4th - £100
• 5th - £50
• 6th - £25

Intermediate 

• 1st - £50
• 2nd - £30
• 3rd - £10 

Young Handler

• £50

Highest pointed run by an NSA member (Please bring proof of your NSA membership on the day to be eligible for the £100 highest pointed NSA member prize):

• £100

(Proof of membership must be given before your run)

70 dogs will run.

Maximum of 2 dogs per handler.

Entry fee is £10 per run with payment at the trial. 

Payment includes entry to the main event for competitors only. 

A running order will be posted before the event.

Competitors will gain access to the whole event as part of their entry fees, any passengers/spectators will be required to pay cash at the gate.

Ample catering will be on site.
